Golden Glow Soup Recipe

Glow soup with a subtle flavour and aroma of vegetables.

Cooking Time and Serve Estimate for Golden Glow Soup

Cooking Time : 45 min.
Preparation Time : 10 min.

Serves 6.

Ingredients for making Golden Glow Soup

1 teacup finely chopped mixed boiled vegetables (french beans, potatoes, cauliflower) or 1 teacup mushrooms, sliced (preferably from can)
1 small onion, chopped
1 tablespoon plain flour (maida)
3 teacups brown stock
1 teacup milk
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons butter
salt and pepper to taste

For the Garnish

1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Method for preparing Golden Glow Soup

1. Melt the butter in a pan and saute the onion for a few minutes. Add the vegetables and saute again for 3 minutes.

2. Add the flour and stock and bring to the boil while stirring continuously. Warm the milk, add to the soup and simmer for 10 minutes. Add the lemon juice, salt and pepper.

3. Serve hot, garnished with the chopped parsley.
