  • Onions: 4
  • Plain flour: 1/4 cups
  • Corn flour: 1 teaspoon
  • Buttermilk: 1 cup
  • Pepper powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Soda bi-carb: a pinch
  • Salt: to taste
Instructions

1. Peel and cut the onions into 12 mm roundels. Separate the roundels to get onion rings. Keep aside.

2. Combine the flour, cornflour, buttermilk, pepper powder, soda bi-carb and salt and make a batter of pouring consistency using some water.

3. Dip the onion rings in this batter and deep fry in hot oil till golden brown in colour.

4. Drain on absorbent paper.

5. Serve hot with variety of sauces.
